MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Five people were transported to area hospitals after a crash that occurred at the intersection of US 62 and US 60 on Saturday, August 13.

At approximately 12:05 p.m., deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a crash with injuries at the intersection of US 62 and US 60. This location is the entrance to the bridge leading into Livingston County.

A preliminary investigation revealed Viola Heisner, 69, of Grand Chain, Illinois, was driving a White 2013 Chevrolet Traverse. Heisner failed to stop at a red light at the intersection, crashing into a 2005 Toyota mini van driven by Edward Decker, 53, of Paducah, Kentucky.

Decker, Heisner, along with three passengers in Heisner’s vehicle, were taken to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
