Century-old motorcycles to race through the Heartland

Race of the Century will stop in Cape Girardeau. Race of the Century will stop in Cape Girardeau.

Century-old motorcycles are set to set to cruise through Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, September 14th.

The Race of the Century will start their journey in Atlantic City on September 10th and end 3,400 miles away in San Diego on September 26th.

The race is limited to 100 participants riding Reading Standards, Excelsiors, Shaws, Indians and Harley-Davidsons…all made in 1916 or earlier.

The overnight stop in Cape Girardeau will include a display of the bikes parking along the Missouri River Tales Mural on Water Street.

Food and beverage vendors will be at the stop.

The bikes should start rolling it around 3:30 p.m. and should be around to see for about three hours.
