"For Kids’ Sake" 6th annual Superhero 5K Run/Walk-a-Thon set for Sept. 30

Registration is open for sixth 6th Annual For Kids' Sake Superhero 5K Run/Walk-a-Thon!

On Friday, September 30 at 6 p.m., more than 350 runners are expected to be at the start line at Turley Park in Carbondale, IL. There will be awards, prizes, music, and great food.

This year, For Kids’ Sake’s biggest annual fundraiser will have a new “Superhero” theme. Superheroes save lives, which is what participants will be doing by supporting students and orphans in Bangladesh.

Pre-Registration:  Through September 25 - $20 Adults / $10 Kids (17 and under) Guaranteed an event t-shirt

Day of Registration: $25 Adults / $10 Kids; Receive an event t-shirt while supplies last

    Mound city water customers will be without water beginning around 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018. According to the Mound City Water Department, the water outage will last several hours and a boil water order will be in effect when water service returns.
