Reward offered in $100,000 equipment theft case

A $4,000 reward is being offered in connection to a theft case in Marshall County, Kentucky.

According to Kentucky State Police, someone stole more than $100,000 in equipment from a construction site at the I-24/I-69 (Jackson Purchase Parkway) interchange.

The theft happened at some point between 3 p.m. on August 3 and 10 a.m. on August 4.

When crews reported to work on August 4, they found that several Trimble GPS receivers and control boxes had been stolen out of construction equipment at the job site.

Troopers ask that anyone that was traveling in the area during that time frame that may have noticed something suspicious in the work zone or the saw any vehicles parked along the side of I-24 or I-69 to give them a call.

Travelers Insurance is also offering a reward of up to $4,000 for information related to the theft.
