Painting your nails at home is difficult and time-consuming, but who can afford a weekly trip to the nail salon?

Billi Taylor said she usually goes without polish because it takes so long to paint her nails at home.

“If you do it right with the base coat and two to three coats of nail polish. You have to let it dry and put a top coat on to keep it from chipping,” said Taylor. “It’s a process.”

Taylor hoped Spray Perfect will expedite that process.

The product’s commercial claims it can offer salon-quality results at home in just seconds with a spray of color that will wash off your hands and cuticles, but remain on your nails.  The commercial also claims Spray Perfect will not chip after days of wear.

“My first thought is how much of this is going down the drain when you wipe it off,” asked Taylor. “So how much are you getting for your money and how much is just going down the drain. Literally.”

The instructions say to apply a base coat, and let it dry for two to three minutes. Then, the directions say to spray Spray Perfect onto your nails, and wait another two to three minutes before applying a top coat, and allowing that to dry for two to three minutes.

Taylor found painting her nails with her non-dominant hand was much easier with Spray Perfect than with traditional brush-on polish.

Spray Perfect has a chemical odor akin to regular nail polish, or nail polish remover.

Once that process was complete, Taylor found Spray Perfect washed off her fingers and cuticles without difficulty, and left her nails a neat Party Pink color that she liked.

“It does save time,” said Taylor. “This definitely beats the old nail polish – in regards to time, and it’s not smudgy so you could do this in a pinch if you were going to an event. The price is a factor because it is so expensive.”

Spray Perfect is available on Amazon.com for $9.99 per color.

Taylor continued to wear Spray Perfect over the weekend, and on Monday sent Heartland News some photos of how Spray Perfect held up over the weekend.

“As you see, they're pretty chipped,” said Taylor. “I was off [work] all weekend, and didn't do anything out of the normal. The hand with the single top coat layer is chipped more than the other hand. I'd say good for a quick fix, but, definitely not long wear.”

Taylor gave Spray Perfect 3 stars on this Does It Work test.
