This week in music: 2000

(KFVS) -

Let's take a stroll down the musical memory lane and check out the songs being played on the radio and at the clubs this week 16 years ago.

We're talking August of 2000 and Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 had Aaliyah at number 5 with Try Again. The song was from the soundtrack to the movie Romeo Must Die. Aaliyah also starred in that movie.

Destiny's Child was Jumpin' Jumpin' at number four.  The song was written by Beyonce and was one of the biggest radio hits of the summer.

At number three was NSYNC with the biggest hit of their career.  It's Gonna Be Me was coming off a two week stay at number one.

Matchbox Twenty was hanging out in the number two spot with Bent.  The song was the lead single from the group's new album Mad Season.

And in the top spot was Sisqo with Incomplete.  It was his first and only number one hit.

That's the week in music from the year 2000.
