MOUNT VERNON, IL (KFVS) -

A woman is facing charges after Mount Vernon police say she had a knife and was acting "disorderly" at Walmart.

Rebecca Bigham, 26, of Aurora, Colorado, was charged with four counts of aggravated battery and two counts of aggravated assault.

According to police, they responded to the Walmart store on South Davidson around 9:33 p.m. on Saturday, August 6 for a report of a disorderly woman.

They say they received additional reports indicating the woman had hit an employee and was armed with a knife.

When officers entered the store and confronted her, police say the woman, Bigham, was still armed with a knife and would not comply with officer's commands.

According to police, Bigham began walking away from officers and then turned back towards them.

An officer used a Taser, which disarmed Bigham.

She was taken to an area hospital for precautionary measures.

After further investigation, police say they learned Bigham had become upset and began damaging items in the store.

She allegedly hit a Walmart employee in the face with her hand and hit a juvenile with the knife.

Police say the knife did not penetrate the skin.

Court documents show Bigham is accused of hitting one person in the face with her fist. She is also accused of making "physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature" when she touched the juvenile's back with the knife.

Those documents also show that Bigham threatened two other people with the knife.

Both the employee and the juvenile were taken to area hospitals.

Bigham was released from the hospital and booked into the Jefferson County Justice Center.

She is being held on $100,000 bond. Bigham was also ordered to stay away from the victims and is not allowed at Walmart in Mt. Vernon.
