Temps will reach the upper 80s for most of us. Starting tomorrow the humidity and chance of showers goes up. FIRST ALERT: Thursday looks the most oppressive humidity-wise.

Making Headlines:

Tragic accident: A 10-year-old boy has died on a Kansas water slide billed as the world's largest. It happened Sunday at the Schlitterbahn Waterpark. The park remains closed as investigators work to figure out what happened.

Under investigation: Paducah police are looking for information about gunshots that were fired Saturday afternoon. No one was hurt, but a car was hit by a bullet near the intersection of North 8th Street and Oscar Cross Boulevard.

System outageDelta Air Lines grounded flights scheduled to leave Monday after experiencing unspecified issues with its computer systems globally. Confirmation of Monday's troubles came in an official account that responds to customers via Twitter.

Major road project: Construction on Route 13 in Williamson County may affect your morning commute and on into October. IDOT will be re-surfacing the busiest road in southern Illinois from the intersection of 148 to Skyline Drive.
