WANTED: Police searching for suspect after 2 injured in Murray, KY shooting

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

Police say they are still looking for a suspect after two people were injured in an apparent shooting in Murray, Kentucky late on Friday night.

According to police, as of Monday, August 8, detectives are following up on different leads as they become available.

On Friday, August 5 at approximately 9:55 p.m. the Murray Police Department received a 911 call regarding a possible shooting on Brooklyn Drive.

When they got there, officers discovered two victims with apparent gunshot wounds.

Both were taken by ambulance to a Murray hospital where they were then airlifted to Nashville hospitals. 

According to the Murray Police Department, all current information shows this was an "isolated event." They say they are currently working to identify a suspect and motive in this investigation.
