A Paducah, Kentucky man is accused of drunk driving and causing a crash.

Robert Foulk, 54, of Paducah, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc and first degree criminal mischief.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at around 6:26 p.m. on August 6, deputies responded to the intersection of US 45 and John E. Robinson Drive for a crash.

Deputies say Foulk was driving a 1990 Dodge pickup eastbound when he tried to cross US 45 at the intersection and pulled into the path of another vehicle.

That vehicle, a 2004 Lexus SUV driven by a 47-year-old Mayfield woman, hit the pickup.

Deputies say an ambulance took Foulk to an area hospital. He was later taken into custody.

They say he was charged with criminal mischief due to the damage he caused to the other vehicle because of alcohol being a contributing factor.

The investigation is ongoing.
