MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

According to Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore, a deputy with the sheriff's department received report of an East Prairie man that had allegedly stole and pawned a leaf blower.

Shortly after responding, Deputy David Watkins received another report from the victim. The victim said he received text from a female saying a male kept her against her will and drove her to Paul’s Pawn Shop in Sikeston, Missouri to have her pawn the leaf blower. Deputy Watkins went to Paul’s Pawn shop in Sikeston and, with the shop's cooperation, he was able to apply for a warrant for the suspect who was identified as Van Owens, of East Prairie, Missouri.

Paul’s Pawn returned the leaf blower to the victim.

Sheriff Keith Moore, Chief Deputy Marcum and Deputy Tragesser located Owens. Owens was then arrested and taken into custody. He was charged with stealing. His bond was set at $500 cash.
