Sikeston man accused of child enticement, molestation

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

A Sikeston, Missouri man is accused of child enticement and molestation.

Daniel D. Roland, 51, was charged with felony enticement of a child and felony attempted child molestation.

According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, on Monday, July 18, the investigative division received a call from the Missouri Children's Division about a report on Roland.

After Roland allegedly tried to "entice" a juvenile, the girl called an adult and left the location Roland was at.

Roland was interviewed by detectives.

He allegedly told them he was "very lonely" and that he cannot take back what he said to the juvenile.

Roland was arrested and taken to the Scott County Jail. He remains in custody at the Scott County Jail and his bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety and not to have any contacts with minors.
