Sikeston DPS responded to a burglary at Randy’s RX located at 1012 N. Main in Sikeston, Missouri on Thursday, June 18.

Detectives discovered that several types of narcotics and pain medications were stolen. Detectives collected evidence at the scene and it was later sent to the crime lab.

The evidence was analyzed and investigators were able to link evidence to a pharmacy burglary in Cape Girardeau back in April. The evidence connected Marlon Deshone Quarles, of Memphis, Tennessee, to both burglaries.

On Tuesday, July 19, investigators with Sikeston DPS presented this case to a Scott County grand jury. After hearing the case Quarles was indicted for burglary, stealing controlled substances and property damage.

Quarles bond was set at $125,000 cash only.

On Monday, August 1, investigators from Sikeston DPS and the FBI traveled to Memphis and placed Quarles into custody. Quarles was then taken to the Shelby County Detention Center where he is currently awaiting extradition to Missouri.

Investigators are continuing their investigation to see if they can link Quarles to any other pharmacy burglaries in the area and recover missing narcotics.
