MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Eastbound Interstate 24 is clear after two separate crashes at the 9 and 10 mile markers had traffic down to one lane.

They say the first crash was near the 9 mile marker, eastbound, and was clear as of 12:41 p.m.

According to the sheriff's department, crews responded to the area for a three-car crash.

Deputies say Cindy Godman, 44, of Paducah, was going east on I-24 when her vehicle collided with another vehicle that was stopped in traffic.

That vehicle was driven by Rober Carroll, 63, of Puryear, Tenn. Deputies say he had one passenger, 64-year-old Norma Carroll of Puryear.

According to deputies, the first crash forced a second crash when the Carroll's vehicle rear-ended the vehicle in front of it. The driver of that vehicle was 56-year-old Vivian Medley of Paducah. She had one passenger, 76-year-old Violet Travathan of Paducah.

Godman was taken to an area hospital with non-incapacitating injuries and Trevathan was taken to another area hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

According to the sheriff's department, traffic was stopped intermittently due to another crash that was around the 10 mile marker eastbound.

Deputies say that while the lanes were back open at the 10 mile marker, work continued off of the shoulder for some time afterwards.
