A traffic stop leads to a drug bust in McCracken County.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy stopped a vehicle early Monday morning for a traffic violation.
The stop was made at the intersection of Silk Tree Blvd and John L. Puryear Drive.
The driver, identified as 18-year-old Anthony B. Hogue of Paducah, appeared to be nervous.
According to the sheriff’s department, the driver was asked to exit the vehicle.
During an investigation and consent search of the vehicle, the deputy located a flashlight that contained three plastic baggies of methamphetamine.
Hogue was arrested and sent to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
He faces violations for having an improper registration plate, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, and possession of controlled substance, first degree, second offense Methamphetamine.
