Nature Explore recognizes Carbondale New School

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The Carbondale New School's commitment to connecting children and nature has been recognized by Nature Explore.

The school has received recognition and re-certification for their Outdoor Classroom. 

Carbondale's New School was originally a Certified Outdoor Classroom through Nature Explore in 2014 and has been in existence since 1974.

    Since September, employees have been given three options:  Get the flu shot, get an approved religious or medical exemption, or leave Essentia. At least 50 people have lost their jobs thus far.
