Baptist East Paducah announces March wellness classes

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah, Kentucky hospital has announced some upcoming classes in March.

They include:

Weight Loss Information Session

6 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, Baptist Heart Center auditorium

Learn about medical and surgical options for weight loss.

Baptist Health Paducah Stroke Support Group

3 to 4:30 p.m., Monday, March 7, Baptist Heart Center conference room

The group provides support for stroke survivors and their caregivers, family and friends. Light refreshments are served.

Baptist Health Paducah Prepared Childbirth Classes

5 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 7 and 14, or 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 5, Meeting Room A, Doctors Office Building 2, Baptist Health Paducah

Free class designed to help expectant parents in their second or third trimester learn about the labor and delivery process.

‘Heart & Heels’ Fashion Show

6 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, The Grand Lodge on Fifth

Tickets are $40 each and benefit the Baptist Health Foundation Paducah.

The event is presented by Strawberry Hills Pharmacy. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop, beginning at 6 p.m., and experience the runway, presented by Ray Black & Son, at 7 p.m.

Diabetes classes

1 to 4 p.m., Monday, March 14, and Wednesday, March 16, Atrium Classroom, Doctors Office Building 2, Baptist Health Paducah

Free class with a certified diabetes instructor to assist with any question or concerns about diabetes.

Cancerport Breast Cancer Support Group

6 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, Baptist Health Imaging Center

The group provides support for those diagnosed with breast cancer and living in recovery.

Safe Sitter class

9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 19, Paducah campus of Murray State University

The class for boys and girls ages 11-13 teaches medically-correct ways to handle emergencies with young children. There is a small fee.

Incredible Colon exhibit

Wednesday, March 23, Atrium of Doctors Office Building 2, Baptist Heath Paducah

This informative exhibit features a 20-foot long, 10-foot tall replica of the human colon. See examples of healthy colon tissue, several non-cancerous diseases of the colon and stages of colorectal cancer.
