Winter Returns! The Heartland will wake up to a cold and blustery Monday morning. This afternoon you may see a snowflake or two, but nothing sticking for now. FIRST ALERT: there may be some accumulating snow overnight into Tuesday.

Making Headlines:

Golden win: A defensive touchdown, three turnovers and the longest punt return in Super Bowl history helped carry the Denver Broncos to a 24-10 win over Carolina in Super Bowl 50. 

Under investigation: Police are looking for more information after two people were shot dead, and four others were injured following a Mardi Gras parade in Mississippi. Police say the shooting happened about 20 minutes after the last parade float left the area.

In recovery: A St. Louis area police officer is in the hospital after being hit by a car. The officer was investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle when a different car hit him in the street and left the scene.

Cockfighting bust: Kentucky State Police is investigating after 19 people were cited for a cockfighting even held in Lynn Grove, KY. When troopers arrived at the scene, they found over 30 dead gamecocks, as well as over 35 live roosters and hens.
