Super Bowl delivers slower business to southern IL restaurants

Super Bowl delivers slower business to southern IL restaurants

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - While some saw a few gains, it appears Super Bowl Sunday only delivered average business to southern Illinois businesses.

Quattro's Pizza in Carbondale saw an increase in carry out orders and deliveries, according to the manager.

However, dine-in business was slower than usual, the manager said.

"Being that it's Superbowl Sunday the deliveries are obviously busier and there are more of them," delivery driver Kevin Koltz said.

Other area businesses like bars saw a lower than normal turnout, business owners said. Business owners said that’s because Super Bowl Sunday is more of a home celebration.
