HOPKINSVILLE, KY (KFVS) -

The Kentucky State is reporting a man has been arrested after leading officers on a vehicle pursuit in Christian County, Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Trooper Michael Dennis was responding to an unrelated accident, when he noticed a SUV driving 82 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

The driver, Zayer Adams, failed to stop and began to flee from Trooper Dennis.

During the short pursuit, Adams lost control of his vehicle while driving westbound on Dr. Martin Luther King Way and went off of the roadway, where his vehicle came to final rest.

Adams sustained several injuries and was flown to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville for treatment.

Trooper Dennis will be obtaining a warrant for Adams arrest with charges regarding the pursuit.
