SCC Lady Saints nationally ranked

ULLIN, IL (KFVS) -

The Shawnee Community College Lady Saints basketball team was ranked 19th out of the top 25 programs in the National Junior College Athletic Association for the week of February 3.

The Lady Saints have a current record of 22-1.

First-year coach Luke Scheidecker and the Lady Saints have turned the women's basketball program completely around, after the previous 2014-2015 season without a single win.

A key player for the Lady Saints is freshman guard Emari Jones, who is currently second in the NJCAA shooting category, averaging 23.7 points per game.
