Carbondale PD seeking public's help in forgery investigation

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

On January 19, 2016, the City of Carbondale Police Department began an investigation into two forgery complaints in the Carbondale area.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned two suspects are using a third party person to cash known, fraudulent checks for them. 

The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 22-28 years old with a medium brown complexion, wearing a short front Mohawk haircut with a slight uni-brow.

He also has gothic script large lettering tattooed on his chest.

The second suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, possibly physically disabled or with limited mobility as he is seen sitting in a wheelchair, with a short haircut and a goatee facial trim.

Photographs of the suspects are attached to this release and anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200 extension 405.

The investigation into this incident is continuing.
