For Kids' Sake offers Southern Illinoisans a T-shirt design contest

(KFVS) - Here's a chance for Southern Illinois community members to show off their creative side.

For Kids' Sake is hosting two great fund raising events - an Art Auction and 5K Race.

And this year the fun includes a cross-promotional T-Shirt Design Contest.

Official rules are on the included picture.  The theme is running/walking and helping kids.  The design must include the words "2016 For Kids' Sake 5K Run/Walk-a-thon".

Submission deadline is March 18, 2016.

T-Shirt contest designs will be presented and voted on at the 16th annual For Kids' Sake Art Auction.

The winning design will be the official 5K t-shirt at the 5K event, which happens September 30 at Turley Park in Carbondale.

Southern Illinois community members are invited to submit designs electronically to or physically at the For Kids' Sake office, 100 East Jackson St. Suite C, Carbondale, IL 62901.

All submissions must be black and white (no photos please). Artists are asked to include contact information with any submissions.

Three to five finalists will have their designs displayed and voted on during the Art Auction show in the Longbranch Café and Bakery from March 29 until April 29.

The winning design will be printed on approximately 300 t-shirts. The winning artist will receive free t-shirts, an award, and media recognition.
