JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - Numerous students attending the Jackson R-2 School District were taken to the school nurse after a minor bus accident on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Merideth Pobst, director of communications for the district, says the fender bender happened when one bus tapped the bumper of another bus on Jackson Blvd.
In total, 82 students were on the buses when the crash happened.
The students were varied in age and were on their way to multiple schools.
Parents of several students on the bus were notified about the incident via a voice mail sent by Associate Superintendent Jeff Bollinger.
Bollinger said in the recording neither the driver nor any of the students were injured in the incident.
However, it is protocol to take everyone to the school nurse to ensure their health.
The district said one student was taken to the doctor because of a prior medical condition, but was not injured in the accident.
