Carbondale PD arrest 1 of 3 suspects in robbery attempt

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The City of Carbondale Police Department is reporting it responded to a robbery complaint at Carbondale Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 30.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned the victim in question was robbed by three black males when he left a friend's house located in the 800 block of West Mill Street. One of the suspects was determined to be the friend the victim had been visiting. Officers later identified the suspect in question as Ricky Brazil, 24.

Officers found Brazil and arrested him without incident. Brazil was charged with robbery, mob action and possession of stolen property.

He was incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
