HERRIN, IL (KFVS) - Three people are facing drug and weapon charges after an investigation in Herrin, Illinois.
Russel D. Morris, 36, was charged with gun running and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
Jason L. Mills, 33, was charged with possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine.
Scott D. Stewart, 44, was charged with manufacture of meth and possession of a controlled substance - meth.
On Jan. 29, officers with the Herrin Police Department, Southern Illinois Enforcement Group, Illinois Department of Corrections Investigative Unit and the Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team completed an illegal drug investigation at a home in Herrin.
Officers were able to get a search warrant after that investigation. The search warrant resulted in the discovery of an active meth lab, some meth and several guns, three of which were previously reported as stolen.
Morris, Mills and Stewart were arrested at the scene.
