JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Jackson County's Electronic Recycling program will see some changes on Feb. 1
The number of electronic items accepted will be reduced.
Items that will be accepted include televisions, monitors, computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, cable and satellite receivers, digital converter boxes, VCR and DVD players, video game players, cell phones, small scale servers, cords and cables, miscellaneous computer parts and electronic keyboards and mice.
Most of which are banned from Illinois landfills.
Items that were accepted, but will no longer be taken: microwaves, coffee makers, toasters, fans, power tools, calculators, vacuum cleaners, stereos, cameras and other like items.
