WATCH: Developmentally delayed student takes 100 steps on 100th Day of School

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A kindergartner at Alma Schrader celebrated the 100th Day of School in a big way.

Emma Watson, 6, started the school year at Alma Schrader in a wheelchair. Her mother, Kelley Watson, said she is developmentally delayed.

On the 100th Day of School, she stepped it up.

As the other kindergarten students cheered her on, Emma walked 100 steps in celebration.

She had only started walking about two weeks before.

Her mother said had previously been taking 20-25 steps.
