Samsung vs. Apple: Which smartphone sold more in 2015?

(KFVS) -

Samsung sold more smartphones than Apple in 2015.

This may come as a surprise to iPhone users and those who wait in line, sometimes for days, anytime a new model hits the market.

Those long lines may seem like everyone buys Apple's phone, but this is a misconception.

Market research firm Strategy Analytics shows that Samsung sold 319 million phones in 2015. Apple sold 231 million.

In fact, Samsung routinely outsells Apple in the smartphone market every year.

However, the success of Apple's other products more than make up for the 2nd place finish in phone sales.
