Making Headlines:

Counterfeit bust: U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Chicago seized more than 43,000 counterfeit hoverboards. The self-balancing scooters contained batteries that are unauthorized and therefore counterfeit, as well as fake trademark logos.

Pending investigation: The University of Missouri's governor board suspended an assistant professor accused of assault stemming from a campus run-in with student journalists during protests in November. The board's general counsel is working to determine whether additional discipline "is appropriate" for Melissa Click.

Reward offered: The three inmates who escaped from the Orange County Central Men's Jail remain at large. However, the investigation has led to the arrests of five people, with more expected soon.

Under consideration: Should concealed weapons be allowed on college campuses? A Missouri Senate committee is considering a bill that would allow campuses to ban concealed weapons if the school posts armed guards and metal detectors at every entrance to every campus building.
