QULIN, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public meeting on February 25 to talk about building a new Route 53 bridge over the St. Francis River in Butler and Dunklin Counties.
The project includes replacing the current bridge and overflow bridges in that location.
Construction, which is slated to start in the spring of 2017, will last about a year and a half.
Traffic will remain on existing structures during construction.
The new bridge will be 36 feet wide, ten feet wider than the current bridge.
Members of the project team will answer questions at Qulin Middle School between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the 25th.
Visitors are welcome to drop by at any time during those hours to learn the details of the plan.
