PULASKI COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is reporting a man has been arrested on charges of felony disorderly conduct on Tuesday, Jan 26.
A fire alarm was pulled as a basketball game ended on Jan 8 at the Crab Orchard High School as attendees were beginning to exit the gym.
After making sure there was no fire, the school principal called off the fire department. Footage from surveillance cameras showed a male deliberately pulling the fire alarm as he was leaving the gym.
The footage was sent to Century High School, where the suspect was identified as Joshua D. Meyer, 25, of Karnak. Meyer was arrested by the Pulaski County Sheriff's office on Wednesday, Jan. 27 and is expected to be transported to the Williamson County Jail.
No one was injured during the initial panic of the alarm.
Reporting a false alarm of a fire is a class 4 felony and carries with it the possibility of one to three years in the Department of Corrections.
