Making Headlines:

Business as usual: The Cracker Barrel in Cape Girardeau will open normally after a small kitchen fire early this morning. According to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, a fire involving a gas line only caused damage to one of the griddles.

Under investigation: The search is on for three inmates that escaped from a maximum-security jail in Southern California. Investigators say the men got a hold of tools, cut through a metal screen, then through steel bars, and used a homemade rope to rappel four-stories.

Emergency landing: An American Airlines jet made an emergency landing in Canada after severe turbulence. Seven passengers were hospitalized with injuries.

Road to championships: Thanks to Denver's defense and Carolina's Cam Newton, the stage has been set for a matchup between the Panthers and the Broncos for Super Bowl 50. Denver defeated the Patriots 20 to 18 in order to punch their ticket. The Panthers, on the other hand, stomped Arizona 49 to 15.
