CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Firefighters were dispatched early Monday morning in response to a fire at Cracker Barrel in Cape Girardeau.
According to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, the fire was contained to the kitchen.
The fire involved the gas line to one of the griddles.
Firefighters shut off the gas to the building to isolate the line to the griddle.
No one was injured. When firefighters got to the scene, all employees were out of the building.
As of 4 a.m., crews had put out the fire.
An investigation showed there was a problem with one of the fittings going to the griddle.
There was only minor damage to the appliance itself.
Cracker Barrel will open as soon as Ameren turns the gas to the building back on.
