POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - Dr. Patricia Ten Haaf, Director of the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center announced that the Sixth Annual Valentines for Veterans concert entertainer will be Eagles Tribute Show "Take It To The Limit."
The popular Branson show features Jon Sousan, from Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
"I am very excited to attend my first Poplar Bluff VA concert," Ten Haaf noted.
"The community support is inspiring and I hear the events are spectacular," a veteran herself, Ten Haaf will make her first public appearance since becoming director at the concert.
The concert will be held February 19, at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff, 301 S. 5th Street.
Pre-show activities will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the main show starting at 7. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The concert is free, but guests will need a ticket to attend.
Tickets are available through the medical center's Voluntary Service office, the Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce, and local Veterans Service Organizations, or by calling 573-778-4499 or 573-778-4276.
VA Voluntary Service Chief, Donna Reynolds said, "Jon and his group put on a great show! We are thrilled to have them performing for our 2016 Valentines for Veterans concert. Jon is an Army Veteran himself, as well as owner of the popular Branson Tribute Theater."
Reynolds explained the concert is sponsored by donors and civic groups across the region. "We would not be able to have this event without our wonderful sponsors – we appreciate them so much."
Sousan added, "This is one way for us to show our appreciation for America's veterans. We look forward to visiting the VA medical center's community living center residents before honoring our Veterans with this concert."
