Woman injured in single-car crash in Gallatin Co. IL

GALLATIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A woman was injured in Gallatin County, Illinois on Friday afternoon when she lost control of her car on an icy road, and hit a guardrail.

According to the preliminary traffic crash investigation, Kelli L. Watson, 39, of Olmsted, Ill.,  was traveling eastbound on IL Route 141, approximately 1/10 mile East of Lake Rd. in Gallatin Co., when she lost control of the car due to its speed on the ice covered roadway.

The car went off the south side of the roadway and struck the end of a guardrail with its front.

Watson was transported by Med Force Ambulance Service to a local hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries sustained from the traffic crash.

She and a passenger were both wearing seat belts and the Toyota’s air bags deployed.

ISP District 19 was assisted at the crash scene by the Illinois Dept. of Transportation and Med Force Ambulance Service.
