METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) - Metropolis is hosting a Comic Con on January 24 from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase memorabilia from a multitude of vendors, as well as meet with several special guests.
"It's kind of like a swap meet for geeks and superfans, but with programming," said Ryan Glitch, an attendee.
Organizers expect 1,500 to 1,600 to attend the event.
Some celebrities in attendance include Lindsey McKeon from "Supernatural," Theodus Crane from "The Walking Dead," and Scott Schwartz from "A Christmas Story."
Schwartz is known as the kid who got his tongue stuck to a pole.
"It's my first time to Metropolis," Schwartz said. "I look forward to being here and meeting all the people and seeing fans and talking and telling stories and having fun. I mean, there's so much fun stuff to see here. That's why I love coming."
"Being able to see celebrities that you've seen on TV, and then look they're just sitting right there and you can ask them anything you want. It's pretty neat," said Seraphina Cosplay, a cosplayer. A cosplayer is a person who dresses up like a character from a manga or anime series, a movie, or a video game.
Ticket's for the event are $15.
There will also be a raffle for a replica of the Superman statue in Metropolis at 2 p.m. Tickets for the raffle are $10.
