Man arrested in Paducah, facing weapons/drugs charges

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah police arrested a man on various weapons and drug charges after a search on a car pulled over during a traffic stop.

Police say they pulled the vehicle over and at some point began a search on the car.

A police K-9, Huub, did an open air search and responded to the passenger side of the vehicle.

Located under and around the passenger seat was a .380 handgun, 4 syringes, 9 grams of what appeared to be methamphetamine, and other items of drug paraphernalia.

A passenger in the car, Robert Stephens, told police the items were his and was arrested.

Stephens had three outstanding warrants, and was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine ).
