ST. LOUIS (AP) - A 14-year-old boy is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a 14-year-old St. Louis girl.
The suspect surrendered to authorities on Monday, one day after Jamyha Luss was fatally shot inside a friend's home. The boy's name has not been released because he is a juvenile. A court hearing would be required to certify him to stand trial as an adult.
Police have not disclosed what led to the shooting.
Jamyha was a student at Gateway Middle School. She lived mostly with her grandmother and her four siblings because both parents are incarcerated.
