CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The Cape Girardeau Police Department held a "Tweet Along" during the slick winter weather on Tuesday evening, January 19.

Road conditions, crashes and more were tweeted from the police department's Twitter account.

Such as what N. Clark looked like going toward the "Bubble."

They even tweeted about a crash on Normal involving an officer.

They say a patrol unit was hit by a car that slid into it. All involved were ok.

Witnesses say the red car was coming down the hill in front of Academic Hall when it started to slide and slid approximately 50 feet into the patrol car. He said the officer on scene remained very professional and handled the situation well, even after he fell and slid about 5 feet down the hill.

Police urged residents to stay home if possible.
