CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

If you've had a child in school, you've no doubt heard of Model United Nations (MUN).

It's an authentic simulation of the U.N. General Assembly, U.N. Security Council, or other multilateral body, which teaches students about the world of diplomacy and negotiation.

On Sunday, Jan. 24, the public is invited to the annual UNA-USA meeting at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Carbondale.

Southern Illinois University students and MUN students will talk about what they learned while participating as "delegates" in the Model United Nations Regional Conference in Chicago.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 1501 W. Chautauqua Road in Carbondale.
