GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon reports that two people were arrested on drug charges after a search of a house located near the Mayfield Graves County Airport.

Redmon states that the Drug Division Detectives executed a search warrant at the home of Mary Smith and Eric Vancura.

During the search the detectives found Schedule II and Schedule IV prescription medications, some of which were in a felt drawstring bag with cash.

Deputies believe the cash to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Individual baggies of marijuana were also found in the home, along with a large amount of cash.

Both were lodged in the Graves County Jail and charged with trafficking a controlled substance 1st & 3rd degree - less than 10 dosage units, trafficking in marijuana - less than 8 oz., possession of drug paraphernalia, and prescription not in proper container.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit and handler assisted in the investigation and search.
