MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Four people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on US 62 and North Gumsprings Road on Friday, January 15.
According to McCracken County sheriff's deputies, they responded to the crash at around 4:31 p.m.
They say 25-year-old Mandy Hust, of West Paducah, Ky., was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala westbound on US 62 when she was unable to stop her vehicle before hitting another vehicle.
Deputies say Hust's two children were also in the car, a two-year-old and a four-month-old.
The vehicle Hust hit was a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 37-year-old Charles Elledge of Glenallen, Mo. Elledge's passenger was 31-year-old Darien Strong of Paducah, Ky.
After he was hit, Elledge then hit the vehicle in front of him. That vehicle was a 2007 Ford van driven by 53-year-old Connie Holley of Paducah.
According to deputies, the road was slippery at the time of the crash.
The two children, Elledge and Strong were all taken to an area hospital by ambulance for non-incapacitating injuries.
The Paducah Police Department and the Concord Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Deputies say the road was shut down for about 45 minutes.
