GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Farmington Elementary sixth graders recently completed the eight-week DARE program with School Resource Officer John Cavin.

During the course, officer Cavin taught the students the importance of making good choices and staying drug and alcohol-free. The entire class is pictured after receiving their certificates.

All of the Farmington students were required to write essays as part of the Drug Awareness Resistance Education course and four students were chosen as essay winners.

Those students are pictured with officer Cavin (far right) and Graves County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Harpole (far left). The winners are, from left, Blake Gargus, Ava Allred, Rachel Reeves, and Jamie LeMay.
