CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Devyn Haupt of Jackson is 9 years old and loves the San Francisco 49ers.
Going to a game and meeting some of his football heroes is something he could only dream of - until recently.
Thanks to a group called Dream Factory of Southeast Missouri, Devyn was able to take the trip of a lifetime.
It was a trip that he will remember for his entire life - one he will remember as he continues to fight his medical challenges.
Devyn is missing parts of his immune system; making what would normally be a simple infection in others into a very big deal.
He and his parents travel back and forth to St. Louis two or three times a month for medical procedures.
A couple of weeks ago, Dream Factory of SEMO was able to organize and send Devyn, his brother and his mom and dad to San Francisco for a week long trip.
He got to go to a game and onto the field to meet some of the 49er players like quarterback, Colin Kaepernick.
The group provides trips like this to kids aged 2-18 who are terminally or chronically ill.
Kim Haupt, Devyn's mom, wanted to let people know what Dream Factory of SEMO did for her son and her family.
