Authorities across southeast Missouri are warning drivers to slow down because of slick roads on Thursday, Jan. 14.

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Office reports slick spots on I-55 are likely to blame for a car that overturned just before 5 a.m.

Dispatchers report a driver was traveling on the northbound I-55 off ramp at the 105 exit when their vehicle flipped.

No one was hurt in the crash.

Deputies are reporting ice on Hwy. 61 in Perry County and the off ramps in Cape Girardeau County.

Authorities in Cape Girardeau County are also responding to a car that slid off the road near Highway D and Indy Lane northwest Jackson, Mo.

While a deputy was at the crash on Hwy. D, another vehicle slid off the road and hit the deputy's cruiser.

The Perryville Police Department also reported early Thursday morning that some highways in Perry County were slick. The police department asks drivers to use caution while they are traveling the morning.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office in Illinois is also working several accidents because of slick roads. Residents in Du Quoin, Ill. said they have seen several accidents including a rollover on Old Duquoin Road.
