First Alert: Clouds, a snowflake possible today

It is Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016.

A cold and blustery day is on tap for Tuesday. Clouds and a snowflake or two will blow through this morning. Drivers on I-64 in southern Illinois may even see slick roads. By noon the clouds will have move out, but don't let the sunshine fool you…temps will stay low, so bundle up.

Making Headlines:

Possible Shooting: The Cape Girardeau Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired after shell casings were found near Washington Park Monday night. No word yet if anyone was injured.

Search continues: The Weakley County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating 57-year-old Cynthia Rainey. The woman reportedly went for a walk around 10 p.m. on Sunday and had not returned.

Under investigation: An explosion killed at least 10 people and injured 15 others this morning in a historic district of Istanbul popular with tourists. A suicide bomber is likely to blame, but the cause is still being investigated.

A win: Alabama manged to defeat Clemson 45 to 40 to win the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide held off the Tigers by scoring 24 fourth quarter points.
