PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are making progress to clear roads from snow accumulated from a weather system Saturday, Jan 9.
KYTC Officials said about two inches of snow collected in counties along the Ohio River, with a dusting in counties along the Tennessee border.
The heavy snow kept tow truck drivers busy after more than a few vehicles ended up off the road.
District 1 in Paducah said roads are beginning to clear.
The main routes are said to be in good condition, but ice is likely on the roads that remain untreated.
Crews are working to treat and plow the remaining routes.
Prior rain prevented KYTC crews from being able to pre-treat roads.
KYTC advises drivers traveling in the early hours Sunday, Jan. 10 to slow down and use caution.
