MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriffs Department responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Clinton Road on Saturday, Jan. 9 at approximately 3:47 p.m.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they determined that Mason Vaughn, 20, of Paducah, was driving a white 2005 Mitsubishi Galant, southbound on Lone Oak Road with a passenger, Paul West, 18, of Paducah.
As Vaughn approached the intersection he disregarded a red light and struck Mechelle Harp, who was operating a silver 2008 Dodge Caravan. Harp was turning from Clinton Road to travel northbound on Lone Oak Road when the front drivers side of her vehicle was hit by Vaughn.
Harp was accompanied by five passengers at the time of the collision: Olivia Harp, 20, Cameron Looper, 23, Logan Godman, 1, Francie Harp, 15, and Ella Harp, 10, all from Paducah.
Olivia Harp was treated and taken by Mercy Regional EMS to Baptist hospital for non-incapacitating injuries. Mechelle Harp and Cameron Looper later sought treatment at Baptist hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.
No other occupants of either vehicle were injured as a result of the collision.
The McCracken County Sheriffs Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS and the Lone Oak Fire Department.
Traffic on Lone Oak Road was restricted to two lanes for approximately 40 minutes for the investigation and clean-up of this collision.
