Paducah police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man charged with stealing cash from his employer.
Jamal M. Branch, 24, of Paducah, worked at the Five Star convenience store, located at Park Avenue and H.C. Mathis Drive.
Monday night, his cash register drawer was short when he left work.
Det. Beau Green said surveillance video showed Branch taking money from the register through his work shift and placing it into a separate drawer.
At the end of the night, the video showed, Branch hid the money in his pants and left.
Branch failed to show up for work the following day.
Branch is charged with felony theft by unlawful taking ($500 - $10,000).
Anyone with information about Branch’s whereabouts is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270/444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL.
